Mihaela (Miha) Podovei
Mihaela (Miha) Podovei, MD, is an anesthesiologist, fellowship trained in Obstetric Anesthesia. Miha received her MD from the Gr. T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi, Romania, completed the anesthesia residency and OB anesthesia fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston. She works as an anesthesiologist for the Department of Anesthesia, Perioperative and Pain Medicine, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She was the QA/QI Director of the Division of Obstetric Anesthesia before enrolling in the CRICO Patient Safety Fellowship and the HMS master’s in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety. As a CRICO fellow, Dr Podovei works for the BWH’s Department of Quality and Safety. Dr Podovei acts as the DQS Medical Director supporting the Perinatal Unit Based Team, a multidisciplinary team that coordinates perinatal quality improvement projects.
