Alisha Nguyen is currently a doctoral candidate from the Department of Teaching, Curriculum & Society from the Lynch School of Education & Human Development, Boston College. She is affiliated with the Center of Human Rights and International Justice, Boston College. Her scholarship mostly focuses on the intersectionality of language, power, race, class, and gender in early childhood and elementary settings. She is particularly interested in conducting participatory action research with teachers, students, and families from diverse linguistic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Her works were published in Early Childhood Education Journal and NEOS – A Publication of the Anthropology of Children and Youth Interest Group.
