Hello My Name Is

Name: Alexandra Lynn Pagar
From: East Hampton, New York
School: School of Management
Major: Double major in international management and marketing

What convinced you to go to BU?

When I went to visit the school I fell in love with it. I could just see myself being there every day and loving it.

What are you most excited about coming to college?

Meeting new people and experiencing new and challenging things.

What kinds of activities do you want to become involved in?

Student government, community service, and possibly a sorority. I will have to see when I get to school next year what strikes my interest.

What is one of the goals of your first year at BU?

My goals are to learn as much as I can and to make some great friends.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

My high school had tremendous problems with hate crimes and violence this year. I got a program called Rachel’s Challenge to come to our school and speak. Having the whole school listen to a talk about Rachel Scott, a student victim of the Columbine shootings, was incredible.

What will be your first stop when you start exploring the city of Boston?

Newbury Street! Shopping is one of my favorite hobbies!

How are you spending your summer vacation?

Working full-time in retail at designer Catherine Malandrino’s boutique and nannying on the side. I am also attending Bonnaroo, a three-day music festival in Tennessee, and going to see the Foo Fighters, OAR, Jacks Mannequin, and 311 in concert. And in my free time I will be at the beach.

What’s one interesting thing about yourself?

Interesting is something that is different for everyone. If you get to know me, you can decide that for yourself!
