Welcome to the undergraduate program in Biochemistry and 分子生物学 (BMB). Over the past few decades, vastly improved technologies for analyzing biological and chemical processes have combined with the availability of whole-genome sequences to rapidly advance our understanding of the biological sciences. At BMB, we offer students a strong foundation in biology and chemistry that emphasizes the biomolecular sciences. Our majors then have the opportunity to focus on particular aspects of these disciplines and participate in independent research projects that complement course offerings. The BMB curriculum, certified by the American Society for Biochemistry and 分子生物学 since, provides exceptional preparation for pursuing advanced degrees in the biomedical sciences as well as entering the biotechnology workforce. In addition, eligible BMB juniors can opt for a combined BA in Biochemistry and 分子生物学 and MS in Biotechnology.
