Boston University’s 5th Annual Academic Advising Symposium welcomes distinguished scholar and social psychologist, Dr. Geoff Cohen, of Stanford University. Dr. Cohen will address how marginalized groups experience belonging, community, and mentorship on college campuses.
We will explore underrepresented voices, breaking down barriers of divisiveness, and methodologies to connect with students in meaningful and authentic ways.
The symposium will also welcome leaders from the Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground to relate these themes to students on our campus, and Hub Advising, to explore how we can incorporate such intentional advising practices going forward.
