Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey: 2021 Boston University School of Law Convocation
Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey delivered the keynote address at Boston University School of Law’s Virtual Convocation Ceremony on Saturday, May 15th at 2pm. Healey is serving currently in her second term, continuing a career spent [...]fighting for justice and equal rights by serving as the “People’s Lawyer.”
Since taking office in January 2015, Healey has tackled issues that touch the lives of residents across Massachusetts, like confronting the devastating opioid epidemic, reducing gun violence, enforcing civil rights, protecting consumers, and addressing climate change. She has also made combatting the crime of human trafficking a high priority, and students and faculty from BU Law’s Immigrants’ Rights & Human Trafficking Program have been fortunate to partner with her office on these efforts.

Boston University Commencement 2021 Time-lapse
Watch the setup, celebration, and breakdown of Boston University's historic 148th Commencement for the Class of 2021. Due to the ongoing pandemic and the need for social distancing, there were two separate ceremonies, one for advanced degree [...]graduates in the morning, one for graduating seniors in the afternoon. Among many distinguished speakers, Noubar Afeyan, the cofounder and chairman of Moderna, Inc., addressed the members of the Class of 2021 gathered on Nickerson Field for the advanced degree ceremony, and US Representative Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) delivered the Commencement speech to the graduating seniors on the same field a few hours later.
