This is 22 minutes of video sped up to 40 seconds. It shows 5-day-old red-eyed treefrog embryos submerged underwater. They change position many times before they hatch. Embryos in air also move around inside their egg capsules, but less often -- [...]except, if they put their gills near the back, where there isn't enough oxygen, they don't stay there long.

A wasp, Polybia rejecta, attacking red-eyed treefrog, Agalychnis callidryas, eggs. The eggs are 5 days old, in the middle of their period of hatching competence but still premature. This was recorded at high speed and is slowed down here. The embryo is 5 days old. Note the small twitches and large mouth-gaping movements at the start. Then the egg ruptures and fluid starts to leak out. The embryo moves its nose into the rupture [...]site and pushes its way out.
