Spring Break 2011 trip to Omaha to work with Rebuilding Together. We got to experience the best of the midwest. The video highlights our stops at Niagara Falls and the Worlds Largest Truck Stop in the beautiful state of IOWA. We were able to give so [...]much to the community of Omaha, but nothing compared us for what they gave back. Watch our trip to the tallest building in Omaha, the First National Bank Building, a trip to Omaha's world famous Zoo, some wicked slides in downtown Omaha, and of course a few more surprises along the way.

Instead of going to a Cancun, Hawaii, or another tropical paradise for spring break this year, we took an Alternative Spring Break through BU's Community Service Center to Omaha, Nebraska. Working with Rebuilding Together, an organization dedicated [...]to helping older community members feel comfortable in their homes, the #Omahomies (as they soon became known by) did simple home repairs to make the residents happier, safer, and more functioning in the place they called their homes.
The #Omahomies worked hard and had a great time; nine strangers met at 5:30am on a Saturday morning, took a 30 hour van ride (got locked out of said van in the middle of Iowa), and became close friends learning so much about one another and what it means to help out those in need.

One of our hosts in Omaha, Laura, took us to the 44th floor of the First National Bank in downtown. It is the tallest building between Chicago and Denver. It is something that we as members of the ASB Omaha trip got to experience that many people, [...]even those who live in the Midwest, rarely get to experience.
