As a sophomore, Rupani spent a semester studying in London, and this fall she kicked off her senior year with a study abroad program in Jordan, where she spent a semester soaking up the country's religious history, exploring its "beautiful canyons," and practicing speaking Arabic with her Jordanian host family. （鲁帕尼还能说一口流利的乌尔都语，这是巴基斯坦的官方语言。） She describes her overall experience in Jordan as "unbelievable."
鲁帕尼希望毕业后能在美国外交部找到一份工作。 "I'd like to work in the public diplomacy sector of the Foreign Service so I can help in building bridges between the U.S. and the Muslim world," she says. The Department of State refers to its public diplomacy officers as "cross-cultural relationship experts" and often calls on them to be America's voice to foreign media. 凭借她的语言能力和国际经验，以及她在聚光灯下的舒适感，鲁帕尼似乎非常适合担任这样的联络人。 ■
