John Connor, PhD
Associate Professor, Microbiology Boston University School of Medicine
Dr. Connor leads the Connor Lab of Boston University, conducting research on the virus-host interaction. Here, he initiates a variety of approaches from genetic to systems biology to biochemistry and molecular biology. He also studies how viruses take over the cellular protein synthesis apparatus, how cells effectively fight virus infection, and how the host responds to infection with viruses that cause hemorrhagic fever. His work with CEID focuses on evaluation and deployment of novel diagnostics and biomarker discovery related to emerging pathogens, and sequencing during epidemics.
