Beautiful New Bench Dedicated to Linda Bondy-Ives
On Friday, December 6th, CGS held a reception in honor of Linda Bondy-Ives. Friends, family, and colleagues gathered to remember and share their memories of someone who touched so many hearts. CGS was Linda’s second home from 1983 to 2012 when she was an Academic Advisor.
Associate Dean Stacy Godnick began the service by reminding the room of Linda’s glowing personality and her ability to help anyone who needed it. The administration felt a bench (seen left) best commemorated her memory: a place for people to relax, sit, and enjoy the peace.
Afterward, Dean ad interim Natalie McKnight announced a new fund in honor of Linda’s work and dedication to CGS, The Linda Bondy-Ives Fund. The fund will support the academic advising program at CGS. This includes programming initiatives that directly benefit and enhance the students’ academic experience. A cornerstone of the fund will be the Linda Bondy-Ives Advisee Award, an annual award given to a deserving sophomore student who embodies the values and spirit of our dear friend and colleague.
