BU Social Science Faculty and Students Honored at UROP Event
CISS affiliate Tom Byrne (School of Social Work) and undergraduate social science students will be honored at the 24th Annual UROP Undergraduate Research Symposium. Professor Byrne will be recognized as an “Outstanding Mentor Who Inspires.” CAS social science students Bella Faber Rico (CAS ’23, Anthropology & Psychology), Jieyu Liu (CAS ’22, Religion) and Rakiya Washington (CAS ’22, Psychological and Brain Sciences) were recognized as “Outstanding Students Who Have Excelled.” More than three dozen social science students will present their research at the symposium, held from 11 am to 1 pm at GSU Metcalf Ballroom on October 22, 2021.
