UROP Invites Applications for Spring 2023 Funding
The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) is now accepting applications for Spring 2023 funding. The application deadline is 12:00 PM on Monday, December 5.
Students may apply to be funded for 5-10 hours per week; awards are paid over a 10-week period beginning in early February. The following types of support are available:
- Student Research Award (SRA): funded entirely by UROP;
- Faculty Matching Grant (FMG): funding split equally between UROP and the faculty mentor’s research funds;
- Supplies Award: up to $500 for research supplies, transferred directly to faculty mentor’s department.
Applicants must specify in their application a stipend amount based on the following guideline. Wages paid are $15 per hour:
- 5 hours/week = $750 total for the semester
- 8 hours/week = $1200 total for the semester
- 10 hours/week = $1500 total for the semester
