More than 20 波士顿大学 新闻 students, including Broadcast 新闻 majors 瑞秋Wellford（12届） and 艾莉莎·莫尼（12届） (shown above), traveled to Hanover, N.H., to cover the Republican Presidential Debate as part of 波士顿大学新闻社's ongoing coverage of the 2012 Presidential Elections. Fourteen BU students received credentials to the debate hall and media room through BU alumnus 安迪·拉克（CFA ' 68）, CEO of Bloomberg Media Group.
An excerpt from Wellford's report 共和党辩论没有淘汰赛:
两位候选人没有站在典型的辩论式讲台后面，而是围坐在桌子旁。 彭博社与《华盛顿邮报》合作创建了一场“餐桌辩论”，旨在防止候选人“肥皂拳击”。
