100 Bay State Road – Construction Activity for the period July 3 through July 17
Dear Colleagues & Neighbors:
In order to better inform the Boston University community and our neighbors living and working on Bay State Road and in Kenmore Square, beginning June 24, 2011 and until the construction of the Center for Student Services at 100 Bay State Road is completed in summer 2012, the Boston University Facilities Management & Planning team will send out weekly updates of the activities taking place on site, especially those that may affect you directly.
For July 3 through July 17 you may expect:
Starting on July 5th and continuing until July 15th the heavy steel internal bracing at the top of the excavation will be removed which will necessitate the use of a crane and several flatbed trucks to haul away the steel.
This is an intricate and time sensitive operation with activity at times outside of the fence area. Because of this, the University has arranged for police details to monitor and manage traffic flow and ensure for general safety during both of these periods.
