Danna Gurari selected to attend the Global Young Scientists Summit
Danna Gurari, a current PhD student in Computer Science, has been selected to attend the Global Young Scientists Summit organized by the Singapore National Research Foundation. Details on the conference are below.
Danna is one of only three students selected from across the entire University to attend this conference. We’re proud to have her representing the Computer Science Department, and to have her accomplishments recognized by this selection. Congratulations Danna!

“Global Young Scientists Summit @ One-North: An International Meeting of Bright Young Researchers, Nobel Laureates and Eminent Scientific Leaders” on January 19-24, 2014 in Singapore. The Global Young Scientists Summit@one-north (GYSS@one-north) is a gathering of young researchers (primarily PhD students and post-docs) from all over the world, with internationally eminent science and technology leaders (‘speakers’) in Singapore. The Summit will discuss the latest advances in science & technology, and how research could be harnessed to address major global challenges. It is a multi-disciplinary Summit, covering topics ranging from chemistry, physics and medicine to mathematics, computer science and engineering. Speakers invited to the GYSS@one-north are globally recognized scientific leaders, who are recipients of the Fields Medal, Millennium Technology Prize, Nobel Prize, and Turing Award.
