Second Annual McCahan Day Encourages Idea Sharing on Medical Campus

BUSDM faculty and students may showcase their innovative research at the second annual John McCahan Medical Education Day June 21, in honor of Boston University School of Medicine’s former Associate Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. John McCahan, who retired in 2006.
The day includes faculty development workshops, for which faculty will earn continuing education credit, and poster and abstract presentations by both faculty and students, with awards for the best presentations.
"The goal is networking and exchanging ideas with our medical colleagues," says Dr. Celeste Kong, BUSDM director of restorative dentistry and representative to the McCahan Day organizing committee. Faculty will enhance their teaching skills and students may share the teaching methods they find most effective.
This is the first year BUSDM and Boston University’s School of Public Health will take part in the Boston University School of Medicine-sponsored event, to take place from
9 AM to 4:30 PM in Hiebert Lounge.
BUSDM will distribute guidelines for poster and abstract submissions in early April.
