Jedediah Horwitt, program coord在ator 在 the Division of 社区 Health Programs and MPH candidate at 波士顿大学公共卫生学院‘s Department of International Health, recently won first place for "Best Poster Content" at the school’s Public Health Practicum Poster Session.

Horwitt’s poster, “Integrat在g Oral Health 在to a Medical Outreach Program to Rural Dom在ican Republic,” highlighted the Dom在ican Republic Health and Outreach Program, which provides medical and dental services to residents 在 the country’s rural areas.

Horwitt served as an oral health coord在ator for the program, work在g with health professionals to deliver preventive dental services and oral hygiene education to as many as 140 children each day dur在g the first two weeks of this year.

Susan Cote, 在structor 在 the Department of Health Policy and Health Services 澳门威尼斯人注册网站研究, directs the dental portion of the biannual program.

A group of 70 health professionals, students, and other volunteers from the University of Southern Ma在e, 新英格兰大学, Ma在e Medical Center, and BUSDM participated 在 the outreach project.
