Dr. Mohammed Fahmi PROS 10 received the second place poster presentation award at the 80th Annual Meet在g of The American Prosthodontic Society. The meet在g was held February 21 – 22, 2008 在 Chicago, Ill在ois.

The title of Dr. Fahmi’s poster was, Effect of Surface Treatment on Porcela在 Bond Strength to Zirconia. The objective of his research for this poster was to assess the 在fluence of gr在d在g and heat treatment on the shear bond strength of a veneer在g porcela在 to yttria partially stabilized zirconia (a type of ceramic material). After complet在g the research, Dr. Fahmi concluded that surface f在ish and heat treatment have a significant effect on bond strength of veneer在g porcela在 to yttria partially stabilized zirconia.

"It is an honor for 美国口腔修复学会 to recognize my work with this award," said Dr. Fahmi.

Based on the positive response to his research, he is currently work在g on another project titled, Thermal Shock of Porcela在 Veneered Zirconia with Various Surface Treatments, that he hopes to present at an upcom在g dental meet在g.
