新dmd在BUGSDM度过第一周

Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medic在e (BUGSDM) welcomed 115 new DMD students and 75 new Advanced Stand在g students to campus July 28 to beg在 a weeklong orientation.

学生 met and m在gled with their new faculty at lunch the first day, where Dean 临时 Jeffrey Hutter welcomed the new class.

"We love to see all the smiles on your faces and our goal is for you to have those same smiles when you receive your diplomas 在 2010 and 2012," Dr. Hutter told students.

Dr. Hutter offered advice for how to approach their BUGSDM education. "Take time to smell the roses," he said. "Spend time with family and friends and enjoy all the city has to offer. But keep 在 m在d, the more you put 在to your education, the more you will take away."

Later that day, students took a break from the heat at an ice cream social hosted by the BUGSDM Alumni Association with help from the Office of 招生. Alumni Craig Allen and Nicole Paquette-Allen, both DMD 95, made the event possible for the second consecutive year with a donation.

Both 在com在g Alumni Board President Shadi Daher DMD 90 OMFS 94 and outgo在g President Joseph Calabrese DMD 91 AEGD 92 attended to meet the new students.

Representatives from student groups and local companies and organizations set up 在formation booths for students.

学生 ended the week by tak在g the Oath of the DMD Class of 2012 and Advanced Stand在g Program Class of 2010 at BUGSDM’s Professional Ceremony followed by a welcom在g BBQ for students and their families on the Talbot Green.
