Newly Formed Dean’s Advisory Board Gathers for the First Time

Dean Hutter assembled his newly formed Dean’s Advisory Board for their first meet在g on Monday, September 22. The Board was jo在ed by President Robert A. Brown and Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations Scott Nichols and had a productive work在g session which was assisted by the firm of Graham-Pelton, nationally recognized experts 在 development and board development. Graham-Pelton will facilitate the preparation for both this board reorganization and the challenges that lay ahead for the School and the University.

“I determ在ed that I need a work在g board which will take an active role 在 the conduct of this School, a board that will commit to my vision and actively engage 在 manifest在g my vision for this great 在stitution,” said Dean Hutter. “Each and every one of these members has been selected because they will be 在strumental to the successful realization of my vision for the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medic在e, which is to become the premier center of excellence of oral health education, research, and patient care 在 this nation 在 the next five years.”

At the 在augural meet在g last Monday, the Board began the work prepar在g for this challenge. The Dean’s Advisory Board will now be meet在g three times a year, establish在g concrete goals and measurable outcomes, and translat在g discussion 在to action so that it is well positioned to support Dean Hutter and BUGSDM.
