Postdoctoral Residents Get Acclimated to GSDM

Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) welcomed new postdoctoral residents to orientation on July 6. The orientation spanned several days and featured presentations from many departments within the School to prepare residents for their time at GSDM.

Residents were treated to a luncheon on July 7 in the Hiebert Lounge hosted by the GSDM Alumni Association. Alumni Board President Shadi Daher DMD 90, OMFS 94 welcomed the residents with warm remarks and Associate Dean for Advanced Education and International Programs Dr. Thomas Kilgore and Dean Jeffrey Hutter also addressed the group.

"Welcome to the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, one of the premier dental institutions," said Dr. Daher. "By completing a degree at GSDM you will be joining the ranks of the more than 300,000 proud, accomplished Boston University alumni worldwide. During your time here I encourage you to get involved with the GSDM Alumni Association, because we draw our strength from the GSDM community, which you are now a part of." Dr. Daher continued, "Information about Alumni Association events as well as contact information for Alumni Board members is available on the GSDM website."

"Look around you, these are your classmates," said Dean Hutter. "You have all worked very hard to get to this point in your education and we are pleased that you chose to pursue your postgraduate training at the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine."
