ADSO Teams Up With Harvard to Support Healthy Kids Festival

The BU Chapter of the Asian Dental Student Organization (ADSO) teamed up with the Harvard Chapter to provide oral health outreach at the Healthy Kids Festival on March 21. The festival was sponsored by the Children’s Museum and ADSO also worked with CHP Oral Health Promotion Director Kathy Lituri to coordinate their efforts.

The festival celebrates children’s healthy growth. Children have the opportunity to play and learn about healthy habits, exercise, and good eating, with volunteers from local hospitals and healthcare organizations. The ADSO groups used dental puppets to demonstrate tooth brushing and flossing as well as counting teeth at a dental visit. Hundreds of children and their families turned out for the event. This was the first time that GSDM has participated.
