Celebration Dinner Honors Prosthodontics Graduates

Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine (BUGSDM) Department of Restorative Sciences and Biomaterials held a celebration dinner in honor of the graduating Postdoctoral Prosthodontics Class of 2008 on July 22 at the Castle.
The dinner, hosted by Professor and Chair Dr. Dan Nathanson and Professor and Director of the Division of Postdoctoral Prosthodontics Clinic Dr. Steven Morgano, honored the graduate’s dedication and hard work over the past years.
Adnan Ishgi PROS 08 and Raymond Tang PROS 08 both received the Baraban Award for best exemplifying excellence in character and clinical proficiency. Drs. Morgano and Nathanson remarked that this year due to the excellent candidates, choosing an award recipient was a difficult task for the Baraban Award Committee, resulting in a tie between two deserving residents.
Graduating residents also presented the annual Residents’ Award for Teaching Excellence to Associate Professor Dr. John Bowley and the Faculty Appreciation Award to Clinical Associate Professor Dr. Arthur Sun.
The evening ended with a slide show prepared and presented by Dr. Ishgi, reflecting on the camaraderie and great times experienced during the past three years as prosthodontic residents.
"On behalf of the entire BUGSDM community I extend my congratulations to the graduating residents," said Dean ad interim Jeffrey Hutter. "Their hard work and dedication has paid off and I wish them all the best of luck in their continued professional endeavors."
