GSDM Announces New Faculty Recognition Award for Education Innovation

A new award was recently announced at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) that will honor a faculty member who has demonstrated excellence and dedication to educational innovation. The award will be presented for the first time by Dean Jeffrey W. Hutter at the upcoming Fifth Annual John McCahan Medical Campus Education Day.
To nominate a deserving faculty member submit the nominee’s name, a brief paragraph explaining the reason(s) for the nomination—including specific reference to how the faculty member, through education innovation, has made significant contributions to improving dental education at GSDM —to Drs. Celeste Kong or Dara Cunnion by May 1.
The Fifth Annual John McCahan Medical Campus Education Day will take place on Friday, June 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Hiebert Lounge. BUMC faculty, fellows, residents, students, and staff who are interested in educational innovations and scholarship are encouraged to attend this highly interactive event. The event will feature a keynote address (speaker TBA), workshops for faculty development, poster session with luncheon, and oral presentations. For more information contact Jackie Desmarais, 85128.
