ASDA and GSDM Enjoy a Night Out at Cirque du Soleil

Sixty faculty, staff, and students, along with their friends and family enjoyed a night out at OVO, the latest Cirque du Soleil production to come to Boston. Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine’s (GSDM) chapter of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) coordinated the enjoyable evening which took place August 12 at Fan Pier and Pier 4 in Boston’s Waterfront district. ASDA thought the show would be a good excuse for members of the GSDM community to get together in a relaxed and fun environment. Four tickets were also raffled of to new students during the Ice Cream Social that took place as part of this year’s orientation.

The show, which has received great reviews, centered around a mysterious egg brought into the insect colony by a newcomer. The acts included acrobats, contortionists, hand balancers, gymnasts, tight rope walkers, and much more.

Heather Parsons DMD 11, who has never attended a Cirque du Soleil show before OVO commented, “The show was incredible…the acts were breathtaking. It is amazing the talent all the performers have, so many of the acts take such incredible strength and skill.”
