HRSA Extends Dental Public Health Residency Training Grant

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has announced it will continue to fund the Dental Public Health Residency Training Grant for an additional three years.

"Our curriculum will continue to be expanded to support training that addresses key twenty-first century health issues in the U.S.," says Dr. Ana Karina Mascarenhas, director of the Division of Dental Public Health. "We will incorporate geriatric and genetic knowledge into the program, and use approaches that prepare our residents to care for underserved populations and high risk groups."

The program has six residents and offers at least two new positions each year.
