A fellow BUSPH, EH graduate has sent along info on a rally concerning nuclear safety at Plymouth Rock.

Looks like it could be an interesting event and a chance to see public health advocates in action…please see below for more details!

Attention: BU School of Public Health

Anna Baker, a BUSPH grad (’05, Environmental Health) is co-leading a Rally for Nuclear Safety at Plymouth Rock. This is an attempt to focus on safety issues at Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, and to avoid being the next nuclear disaster. There is a great line-up of speakers attending including Paul Gunter, Director of Beyond Nuclear and State Representative Jim Cantwell (4th Plymouth District), amongst other community organizers. The event is cosponsored by Massachusetts Sierra Club, Clean Water Action, Beyond Nuclear, the C-10 Foundation and Toxics Action Center.
