Bioinformatics Job Opportunity at Emory University
Emory University is looking for a Bioinformatics Information Analyst based out of Atlanta, with international travel.
•Master’s of Public Health with a focus on bioinformatics highly preferred.
•Ability to design and implement qualitative and quantitative research tools. A strong background in coordinating and managing data collection activities.
•Experience with mobile phone data management and digital data collection.
•Experience with software applications for database management and basic statistical analysis required (Access / Excel and SAS / Stata/SPSS/R).
•Proven ability to work independently. Good communication skills and responsive to US research team requests and correspondence.
•Ability to interact effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
•Prior field experience in a developing country strongly preferred.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Collects, compiles and analyzes data. Performs statistical analysis of data. Maintains databases and records and generates reports related to analysis. Assists in presenting results of analyses.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in compiling and analyzing data, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
