Successful Veteran’s Energy Seminar Held
The Boston University Institute for Sustainable Energy hosted the inaugural East Coast version of the Veteran’s Energy Seminar on Thursday September 27, 2018 at the Questrom School of Business. The event was attended by military veterans, students, and energy professionals for a day of energy security training from local experts across academia, government, and industry. Participating organizations included ISO New England, Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources, MIT Energy Initiative, MIT Lincoln Labs, Advanced Energy Economy, MassCEC, NuScale Power, the American Resilience Project, and Sparkplug Power. Keynote remarks were provided by Dr. Dorothy Robyn, a Senior Fellow at the ISE and former Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Installations & Environment, and VADM Dennis McGinn, US Navy (retired) and former Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Energy, Installations and Environment. The event was sponsored by Invenergy, Argonne National Laboratory, and Advanced Energy Economy.
