
Sean Mueller
Ph.D student
Sean Mueller is a Ph.D student in the Department of Environmental Health. He earned both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University and a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara’s Bren School. Sean’s passion for interdisciplinary science materialized while serving as a Presidential Management Fellow Air Resource Specialist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service, where he was responsible for balancing ecological and public health risks from managed fires. His research interests focus on understanding the composition and spatial/temporal variability of ultrafine particles. Aside from his interests in environmental policy and air pollution, Sean enjoys surfing, trail running, and cross-country skiing.
