Miriam Angrist new full-time lecturer in Hebrew
We are delighted to welcome Mira Angrist as the new full-time lecturer in Hebrew. Mira has been with the College of Arts and Sciences Modern Languages and Comparative Literature department since 2008, teaching all profiecency levels in Hebrew. Her current course on “Israeli Popular Music” has been extremely popular. Ms. Angrist integrates authentic Israeli and Jewish cultural material and uses advanced technologies to stimulate classroom learning. Ms. Angrist is the Hebrew Director of a middle/high supplementary school of the Hebrew College in Newton and has been the URJ (Union for Reform Judaism) Hebrew consultant for many years. Her professional record also includes writing Hebrew curricula, training Hebrew teachers, conducting webinars and presenting at national conferences. Her colleagues in MLCL have been enthusiastic about her contributions to proficiency-based language teaching and we are looking forward to the energy, creativity, and devotion to students Mira will bring to the programs in Hebrew and Jewish studies.
