Alexandre Vidal Porto is a writer and diplomat. He is a columnist for Folha de São Paulo and a Harvard-trained lawyer and human rights activist. His first novel, Matias na cidade (Matias in town), was published in 2005 to critical praise. His second, Sergio Y., recipient of the Paraná Literary Prize, is scheduled to be published in the United States in Spring 2016, by Europa Editions.
Luisa Geisler. She was awarded the 2010 Prêmio Sesc de Literatura (Sesc Prize for Literature) for her debut book, the short story collection “Contos de Mentira”. She won again the following year with another book. In 2012, she was chosen to be part of the Granta short story collection for the Best Young Brazilian Writers. Geisler was the youngest writer to be selected for the collection.
Nuno Ramos was born in São Paulo in 1960. He is a plastic artist and author of the books Cujo (1993) and O pão do corvo (2001), published by editora 34; Ensaio geral (2007) and O mau vidraceiro (2010), by editora Globo; and Ó (2009, editora Iluminuras), which won the Prêmio Portugal Telecom.
