Join us for a group visit to the exhibit: Rafael Soriano: The Artist as Mystic on Thursday, February 23 at 5 PM.

A collection of luminous abstract paintings make up the new exhibition “Rafael Soriano: The Artist as Mystic,” on view at Boston College’s McMullen Museum. “The unabashed spirituality of his work may have tripped up this Catholic painter in a post-modern American art world that shied away from the religious,” writes Cate McQuaid of the Cuban-born artist, whose paintings seem to gaze into the cosmos and “fuse not only form with space, but body with spirit.” The show is the second exhibition to be hung in the McMullen’s new home (the former residence of the Catholic archbishop), and is up through June 4. More information here.

The guided tour is free and open to all BU students and faculty. Everyone must register because space is limited! Please sign up only if committed to coming on the tour so as not to take a spot from another student.

We will not be providing transportation. Students should meet at the museum entrance at 5 PM.
