Gerard P. O’Connor Joins BU Law as Director of Entrepreneurship & Intellectual Property Clinic

O’Connor’s experience extends from start-up services to general corporate representation and M&A counsel.

Gerard P. O’Connor has joined 波士顿大学法学院 as the incoming director of its 创业与知识产权诊所. 诊所的第一任主任伊芙·布朗（Eve Brown）已经辞职，开办了自己的律师事务所。

Before taking on this role, O’Connor built his practice on the representation of technology entrepreneurs for over 20 years, practicing in this complex and rapidly evolving area of the law at leading area firms before founding his own practice.

O’Connor’s experience extends from start-up services to general corporate representation and M&A counsel. He has handled hundreds of successful transactions for his clients, in industry sectors including life sciences/pharma, medical devices, software, financial services, manufacturing, robotics, energy/clean tech, and professional services. 一个特别的专业领域是大学知识产权的商业化。

He has also counseled clients in the not-for-profit space, and has worked with clients exploring hybrid business forms including non-profit/for-profit affiliates, low-profit limited liability companies, or LLLCs, and public benefit corporations.

O’Connor holds a JD from Northeastern 法学院 and a BS from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
