Owen Young (1896) Remembered as International Icon
Owen Young (1896), creator of the Radio Corporation in 1919 and former Vice President of General Electric Co., was known for his contributions to international relations in the early 20th century.
Favored by Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D. Roosevelt, Young contributed to the Dawes plan to enact post-WWII reparation payments from Germany. He was named Time Magazine’s “Man of the Year” in 1929.
