商业基础导论是一门在线、自定进度、异步的课程，是JD课程的必修部分。 课程包括商业基础、公司财务和财务会计等模块，包括以下科目：资本市场； 财务报告的基础知识； 资产负债表; 利润表和现金流量表； 经营形式和组织机构； 融资机构; 折现; 计算风险，回报和估值。 评估基于多项选择考试。 Students may opt-out of the course if they score an 84 or better on the pre-course exam. A score of 70 or better on the post-course exam, following successful completion of the course, is necessary to meet the requirement. 成绩通知：本课程不授予学分，成绩为P/F。 这是JD学生的毕业要求。 学生可以在秋季，春季或夏季学期注册该课程，但应在31学年秋季学期结束前完成课程。
