Please join us on Thursday, January 30th, 2025 at 5pm in the Law Auditorium for the Professor Robert Volk Lecture. “Reshaping Success” will feature a panel of BU Law alumni and Carrie Landa from the BU Office of Wellbeing. Panelists will discuss how success can be defined in many ways and how their law school experience shaped their future selves, while discussing issues such as imposter syndrome, time management, workism, and maintaining their mental health.
About our Speakers:
Joseph Bacchi
After graduating from BU Law in 2020, Joe served as a judicial law clerk and administrative law clerk for two years for the Honorable Margo K. Brodie, Chief Judge of the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York. In 2022, Joe joined the firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP as an Associate, where his practice focuses on complex civil litigation
Lisa Mary Richmond
Following graduation from BU Law in 2023, Lisa went on to Clerk for Hon. David A. Lowy and Gabrielle R. Wolohojian, both of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. She then moved to Ropes and Gray as a Litigation and Enforcement Associate. Her current bio can be found here.
Dr. Carrie Landa
Dr. Carrie Landa is the inaugural Executive Director of Student Wellbeing at Boston University. In her role she oversees the vision for and execution of wellbeing programming and education at BU, for all students. At BU since 2009, she has served as Director of Behavioral Medicine and Associate Director of Clinical Services at Student Health for 9 years, where she oversaw changes in the department to meet the changing needs of mental health in higher education. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology and family studies from the University of New Hampshire and her Masters and Doctorate in clinical psychology at Suffolk University, where she trained as a child and adult psychologist.
