BU Law welcomed a panel of scholars to celebrate Gerald F. Leonard教授‘s new book, 党派共和：民主、排斥和开国元勋宪法的衰落，1780 -1830, coauthored by 扫罗康奈尔 of Fordham University.
Leonard and Cornell’s book focuses on the constitutional change during the founding era from an elitist, anti-party vision of the Constitution to a more ‘democratic’ vision which gave way to the exclusion of women and people of color. 这本书考察了宪法的发展受到社会、政治、文化和制度因素的影响，而不仅仅是法院的影响。
