1960s
Richard J. Snyder (LLB’63) was recognized by Boston Architectural College with the Design Leadership Honoris Causa. He is in his 60th year of practice and shares that it’s much better than retirement. He is active on six not-for-profit boards.
1970s
Alan M. Parness (JD’70) retired in April 2013 from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft in New York after 40 years as associate and counsel.
Erica Levine Powers (LLB’71, LLM’76) is in her second term as elected secretary of the New York State Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Section. She was awarded the ABA Section of State & Local Government Law Jefferson B. Fordham Lifetime Service Award in August 2024. She also co-edited Heirs’ Property and the Uniform Partition of Heirs Property Act: Challenges, Solutions, and Historic Reform (ABA 2022) with Thomas Mitchell.
Jery E. Barton (JD’72) has transitioned from law practice to grant writing, focusing on securing funds for energy efficiency improvements in low-income residences. He also assists nonprofits with securing cybersecurity grants.
Stanley H. Cooper (JD’72, LLM’77) retired from his position as trustee at New Century Portfolios after 26 years, having served as chairman of the board for the last eight years.
Sylvia A. Clute (JD’73) published Unitive Justice: Bending the Arc of Justice Toward Love, a book that describes her decades of work on developing Unitive Justice, a theory for a model of justice with no punitive elements.
F. Walter Bistline, Jr. (JD’75) retired in 2021 after 25 years of corporate law, followed by 3 years in an MFA program and 17 years as the photography instructor at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana.
Robert Harb (JD’75, LLM’76) is currently serving a third term as a New Hampshire state representative and vice chair of the New Hampshire House of Representatives Resources, Recreation and Development Committee.
Greg Friedman (JD’76) is still pursuing his career in real estate transactions and taxation, leasing, and estate planning.
Robin E. Keller (JD’78) is a retired partner at Hogan Lovells US LLP.
Gints Robert Berzins (JD’79) retired from his position as the head of the London office of Beach Point Capital in December 2023. He is teaching Investment Perspectives from a Hedge Fund Guy, a lecture series at the Stockholm School of Economics.
Richard C. Godfrey (JD’79) was ranked by clients as a BTI Client Service All-Star for 2024 by BTI Consulting Group, Inc.
Christie E. Webb (JD’79) has been a certified appellate specialist in Los Angeles since 2017. She’s proud to have tried to bring California law on the dangerous condition of public property into the 21st century.
1980s
Carl N. Weiner (JD’81) was selected to the 2024 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list in the area of real estate.
Sally VanderWeele (JD’83) is retired.
A. Neil Hartzell (JD’84) is a partner at Freeman Mathis & Gary LLP in Boston specializing in commercial litigation and has been listed for the past 10 years in Best Lawyers in America. He was honored to present ESG and Financial Lines Claims in the United States at the World Insurance Congress in Melbourne, Australia, in 2023.
Jonathan B. James (JD’85) will become a grandfather for the first time in May.
Hon. Randy Sue Marber (JD’85) was elected as a district director (10th Judicial District, Nassau County) for the Association of Justices of the Supreme Court of the State of New York.
Michelle Marchant (JD’85) retired after practicing employment and labor law in-house for HP, Microsoft, and other companies.
Thomas Sansone (JD’85) was awarded the 2024 Citizen of the Law Award from the Connecticut State Bar.
David G. Curran (JD’86) leads one of the first practices dedicated to sustainability and ESG law. He is also executive director of the ESG and Law Institute.
Steven Feldman (JD’86) has won hundreds of civil and criminal trials and appeals in state and federal courts over the past 37 years, including a 2015 case before the US Supreme Court: Taste v. United States.
Allegra L. Fishel (JD’86) founded the Gender Equality Law Center in New York City, a nonprofit law firm and advocacy organization that works to advance laws and policies that address barriers to economic security and advancement caused by gender-based discrimination. Her organization is always looking for volunteers and board members at afishel@genderequalitylaw.org.
Frederick Smead Armstrong (JD’87) retired at the end of 2021.
Louis Hockman (JD’87) served as a faculty advisor for the 2024 Philadelphia Bar Association’s Interactive Trial Skills Leadership Program. As principal and founder of ADRx, he offers comprehensive mediation, arbitration, and neutral evaluation services for personal injury, employment, and commercial litigation matters.
John F. Shoro (JD’87, LLM’92) is managing partner at Bowditch & Dewey LLP and was named a Go-To Taxation Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. Best Lawyers in America honored him as Lawyer of the Year in 2020, 2022, and 2024 for his work in trust and estates.
John C. Petrella (JD’88) joined the employment and labor law firm Jackson Lewis in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey.
William J. Anthony (JD’89) was elected to Littler’s board of directors.
Lawrence Kotler (JD’89) received the David T. Sykes Award from the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Conference and the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project.
1990s
Andrea Fischer (JD’90) and Audrey Hildes Schechter (JD’92) successfully settled a healthcare fraud case against Bluestone Physician Services Florida LLC, Bluestone Physician Services PA, and Bluestone National LLC.
Mark Manning (JD’91) was named to the Clarkson University Board of Trustees and will serve on the academic mission committee and the financial affairs committee as part of its investment subcommittee.
James McDowell (JD’91) returned to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act by joining the Standard in 2023 as senior counsel.
Wendy Wan-Juoh Huang (JD’92) is general counsel of Prospera Hotels in Orange County, California. If you are in OC, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Kimberly A. Sigler (JD’92) joins Robinson & Cole’s real estate & development group in the firm’s Boston office. Her practice focuses on real estate development, acquisitions, dispositions, zoning compliance, permitting, alternative energy matters, and commercial leasing transactions.
David Wilkes (JD’92) joins Cullen and Dykman LLP as senior legal advisor to governments in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, specializing in tax certiorari for its corporate department. He also does advisory work in West Africa.
NiaLena Caravasos (JD’93) is focused on federal criminal defense and white-collar crime and is the only Philadelphia criminal defense attorney ever featured twice on the Super Lawyers magazine cover, most recently in 2023 for the story “The Essence of Being a Good Lawyer.”
Daniel Dornfeld (JD’93) was honored with the Top Smart Growth Project award by Long Island Business News for the 2024 Real Estate, Architecture & Engineering Awards.
Eric Kaplan (JD’93) has been a senior advisor for the nonprofit, nonpartisan Milken Institute Housing Finance Program within the Center for Financial Markets. In 2022, he joined the nonprofit Operation HOPE as executive vice president and as president of the Financial Literacy for All initiative. He is currently a board member of the Kroll Bond Rating Agency and served on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Consumer Advisory Board for two years, during which he was board chair from 2020 to 2021.
Carm Regan Almonor (JD’94) is visiting assistant professor of political science and African American studies at Seton Hall University. He delivered the keynote speech for the Township of Millburn’s 2024 Juneteenth celebration.
Carolina Avellaneda (JD’94) began as general counsel for Emerson College in March 2024.
David R. Campbell (JD’94), founder of the Lancaster-based law firm David R. Campbell & Associates, joined Saxton & Stump as a senior counsel attorney in August 2024.
George Attisano (JD’95) retired as counsel for MFund Services LLC in Huntington, New York. He will continue to consult for MFund Services but is also pursuing a master’s in classical guitar performance at Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance. He and his wife, Phyllis, reside in Philadelphia.
Ira Azulay (JD’96) was named to the Best Immigration Lawyers of Chicago list by Forbes.
Arthur N. Gravanis (LLM’96) is an advanced markets consultant for Guardian Life Insurance Co. He has worked in advanced estate, tax, and business planning roles in the financial services industry for more than 25 years.
Hon. David N. Stansbury (JD’96) was elected to a third term as judge of the Licking County (Ohio) Municipal Court, where he has served since 2010. He resides in Newark, Ohio, with his wife, Cathy, and daughter, Catie.
Heather Schmidli-Coleopy (LLM’97) retired after more than 20 years as a compliance officer specializing in economic sanctions and export controls at various Swiss banks.
Nadiuska Otilia Lopez de Abood (LLM’98) became partner of Infante & Perez Almillano in 2021. In 2023, she was recognized by Chambers and Partners as one of the best securities lawyers. She is also lobbying at the Securities Superintendence in Panama to accept jurisdiction over “digital assets.” One of her daughters is studying fashion merchandising and the other is applying to BU to be a biomedical engineer.
Erica McGregor (JD’98) was selected by her peers at Tucker Ellis LLP for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America 2025 in the category of trusts and estates.
Christine Tretzmueller-Szauer (LLM’98) went back into private practice and started a new role with Herrington Carmichael LLP to help establish a dedicated corporate governance department.
Andrew Morganti (LLM’99) joined Berger Montague PC as a shareholder focused on shareholder litigation.
2000s
Jennifer W. Corinis (JD’00) joined Oberheiden PC, a premiere Dallas-based litigation and compliance firm, as litigation counsel.
Edward Vinhateiro (LLM’00) joined Hinckley Allen as a partner in the trusts & estates practice group.
Daniel I. Malasky (JD’01) joined IMG Academy as chief legal officer, bringing extensive experience in sports and entertainment law. He currently serves on several sports-related boards, including the Florida Sports Foundation and Greater Orlando Sports Commission.
Melissa Nott Davis (JD’02) was promoted to partner at Shook, Hardy & Bacon. She is a product liability attorney who represents clients in the health, science, and technology sectors. She also handles complex litigation, business disputes, and intellectual property cases and has represented clients in International Trade Commission investigations as well as in mediation and arbitration.
Adam S. Ross (JD’02) joined Keane & Beane PC in their Melville, New York, office as a member in January 2024. He focuses on advising school districts and the Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) on issues such as probationary periods, tenure, recall, and performance reviews.
Christine Burke Worthen (LLM’02) joined the Epstein Becker Green’s Washington, D.C., office. She provides legal and strategic advice to a diverse range of healthcare organizations, including hospitals, health systems, physician practices, digital health companies, behavioral health providers, and post-acute care and ancillary providers.
John Duke (JD’03) joined Phelps to help employers navigate union campaigns and collective bargaining efforts as well as resolve complex labor litigation.
Paul Tuttle (JD’04) was appointed clerk of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
Charles Chambers, Jr. (JD’05) was named partner at Sullivan & Worcester, representing a diverse client base of public and private companies and broker-dealers on a range of corporate and securities matters, including initial public offerings and other capital markets transactions.
Bradley Micsky (JD’05) joined Dykema as a member in the firm’s intellectual property practice group, based in the Minneapolis office. He advises clients on a broad range of intellectual property law and business matters, with a focus on patent litigation and counseling.
Courtney Evanchuk (JD’06) joined Morgan, Brown & Joy as counsel, bringing over a decade of experience in labor and employment law.
Matthew J. Sinkman (JD’06) was promoted to director at Gibbons PC in the New York office, where he is a member of the firm’s environmental group. He represents clients in Superfund cleanup initiatives and his practice includes representing plaintiffs and defendants in hazardous waste cleanup matters as well as advising buyers, sellers, and developers of contaminated properties. He was selected to serve a two-year term on the board of directors of the New York City Brownfield Partnership, starting in January 2024.
Debbie Y. (Bae) Chin (LLM’07) joined Fox Rothschild LLP as a partner within the taxation & wealth planning department in the firm’s San Francisco office. She brings deep expertise in trust and estate planning, helping individuals and families navigate complex planning challenges with an innovative, personalized approach.
Howard M. Wexler (JD’07) is a partner in Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s New York office. He was recently named as colead of Seyfarth’s New Yok labor and employment law department.
Daniel Schleifstein (JD’08) joined Hinshaw & Culbertson as a partner in the consumer financial services group in the New Jersey office.
Edoardo Calcaterra (LLM’09) was recently appointed head of business development at LCA Studio Legale.
2010s
Jeffrey I. Davis (JD’10) was appointed cochair of the pride affinity group at Bass, Berry & Sims, effective January 2024. He is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office.
Dustin Guzior (JD’10) was named a Rising Star by the New York Law Journal. He is a partner in Sullivan & Cromwell’s litigation group and cohead of the firm’s intellectual property and technology litigation practice.
Ashleigh J. Lynn (JD’10) was elected to the partnership at Venable LLP as of January 2024. She represents a diverse range of clients—including companies, partnerships, nonprofits, and individuals—in complex commercial litigation matters across federal and state courts as well as in alternative dispute resolution tribunals.
Meghan Rohan (JD’10) was named partner at Sullivan & Worcester, where she represents companies and individuals in investigations and administrative proceedings before securities regulators including the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and state regulators.
Sarah D. Wellings (LLM’10) was named a partner at Sullivan & Worcester. She is a member of the firm’s real estate investment trust practice group, focusing on structuring and compliance work, including cross-border transactions.
Nana Annan (JD’12) was appointed chief operating officer of the Gulf of Maine Research Institute. She brings more than 25 years of operations experience, most recently serving as chief operating officer for Harlem Children’s Zone, a New York City–based nonprofit.
John Godfrey (JD’12) joined Sidley Austin LLP as a partner in the mergers and acquisitions and private equity practice in New York in April 2024.
Michael C. Lezaja (JD’12) was promoted to assistant general counsel for legal counsel at the Federal Trade Commission.
Sirui (Sherry) Xia (JD’12) joined Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP’s consumer financial services practice in New York. She represents financial services institutions in both private mediation and litigation, handling complex commercial and consumer disputes in state and federal courts. She also advises clients on prelitigation exposure.
Alexander Barrett (JD’13) was elected to the partnership at Stinson LLP, effective January 2024. In addition to his litigation practice, he provides pro bono legal representation to the Marlborough Community Coalition in collaboration with Legal Aid of Western Missouri.
Jacob Lloyd (LLM’13) was promoted to partner at Moulton, Moore & Stella LLP.
Dimitri Queiroz Nadu (LLM’13) was named on the Legal 500 General Counsel Powerlist Brazil.
Julia Chwasz Peyton (JD’13) joined Sharyn T. Sooho as partner in their boutique family law firm, where she has been a member since 2017. She was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2022 and 2023.
Amy Fabiano (JD’14), an experienced higher education attorney, joined Bowditch & Dewey’s higher education group, part of the firm’s employment and labor practice, serving as of counsel.
Spencer B. Holland (JD’14) was elected to the partnership at Mirick O’Connell as a member of both the real estate and environmental law group and the public and municipal law group. For the third consecutive year, he was listed in the 2025 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for environmental law, land use and zoning law, municipal law, and real estate law.
Roxanna Y. Mehdi (JD’14) started a new role as a hearing officer with the Industrial Commission of Ohio and recently welcomed her second child.
Kelly C. Soltis (JD’14) was promoted to senior e-discovery attorney with labor and employment law firm Jackson Lewis PC. She joined Jackson Lewis as an e-discovery attorney in 2022 after building her career in-house at GE, where she rose to become GE’s in-house e-discovery team lead prior to changing positions.
Shisong Chen (LLM’15, LLM’20, JD’22) was honored with the 40 Under 40 Award from LexisNexis for the Asia-Pacific region. In 2024, he was named Young Lawyer of the Year: Yangtze River Delta area by Asian Legal Business and also recognized as Young Lawyer of the Year: East China by ALB.

a real estate attorney at Goulston & Storrs in Boston, was named a 2024 Up & Coming Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.
Courtney Simmons (JD’15) was recognized for land use and zoning law and real estate law and is listed in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America.
Portia Keady (JD’16) was promoted to partner at Nutter, effective January 2024. She represents clients in all aspects of corporate and securities law as a member of the corporate department.
Yeon Jae Ko (JD’17) was promoted to counsel at Venable LLP, effective January 2024. His practice focuses on the acquisition, protection, and commercialization of intellectual property both domestically and internationally.
Catherine M. Gregory (JD’18) joins Smith Anderson LLP in Raleigh, North Carolina, from her prior role as a judge advocate in the US Army. She’ll be joining Smith Anderson’s corporate and transactional practice group with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, start-ups, and government contracting.
Cristina Lloyd (JD’18) is currently living in Germany working as a lecturer and writing her doctoral thesis on disinformation regulation in international law.
Peter Manda (LLM’18) currently works for Hardwick Law Firm LLC, a minority- and women-owned national law firm based out of Kansas City, Missouri. He is a principal in the firm’s public finance department.
Dhruthi Batchu (LLM’19) joined Barclay Damon as an associate in the firm’s intellectual property litigation, commercial litigation, and trademarks, copyrights & licensing practice areas, based in the Boston office. She has extensive experience representing clients in contested matters and interparty proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Amanda J. Ford (JD’19) joined Hinckley Allen as an associate in the litigation & investigations group. She advises clients on complex commercial litigation matters across a variety of business sectors, including healthcare and energy.
2020s
Erin Carlson (LLM’20) was promoted to tax partner at Lavine, Lofgren, Morris & Engelberg LLP, San Diego’s largest independent certified public accounting firm, effective January 2024. She is head of the firm’s trusts and estate group. She also plays an active role in mentoring rising tax and accounting professionals and leads firmwide initiatives in areas such as education, recruitment, and wellness.
Rebecca Krehbiel (LLM’21) joined Barclay Damon’s trusts & estates practice area. Her primary office location is Buffalo.
Julia Thibault (JD’21) is celebrating one year as general counsel at Zynex Medical.
Carlotta Guzzo (LLM’22) recently moved to Milan and started a new job at LCA Studio Legale.
Wei-Chen Fang (LLM’23) is currently director of the Taiwan Law Society and Taipei Bar Association. Additionally, he is a certified basketball agent for the Chinese Taipei Basketball Association and Chinese Professional Baseball League.
Zohaib Ali (LLM’24) started a new job with Sedgwick as a business analyst.
