OnBase
OnBase is an enterprise document management system for capturing, managing, and archiving documents online. This system is primarily used for the management of important enrollment documents.
Support Policy
MET IT is responsible for the following:
- Installation of the required OnBase Client for BU-provisioned devices
- Basic troubleshooting of OnBase Client
- Access control to the OnBase Sweep Folder
Access requires a user login set up inside of OnBase itself. To gain this access, please speak with Chris Krause (cmkrause@bu.edu).
When requesting access, make sure to include the following:
- Full User Name
- BU Alias (BU email account)
- Indicate if the new user should have rights similar to an existing user, or indicate the work responsibilities of the new user
- Indicate if the new user should replace an existing user

OnBase Client Capabilities
Based on the role of the user, a different OnBase Client will be installed. At MET, two particular clients are used regularly: Outlook Client and Unity Client.
