Blackboard Ally is an accessibility tool that:

  • Provides feedback to instructors on how to improve accessibility of their course content.
  • Create alternate formats for course content, such as electronic braille.

Support Policy

MET IT is responsible for the following:

  • Gathering details of errors
  • Escalating requests to the appropriate departments at MET and BU IS&T

Blackboard Ally is a newer integration and support may expand in the future.

May I opt-out of this tool being added to my course?

Instructors who wish to opt-out of using the Ally tool can request the integration removal by either:

  1. Fill out the form under the “Requesting Access to Ally for Your Course” section on this page.
  2. Contact us with your course name, course number, and section number.
