Margaret Babson
Associate Director of Student Activities
I worked with many first-generation students in my work as a college and career advisor in Pennsylvania, working with College Advising Corps. I saw the stressors my first-generation and low-income students faced during the application process and as they entered college. As I sent them to start their college time, I was always hoping there would be staff on that campus to support them and allow them to flourish. As a student affairs professional, an important part of my work is to ensure all students feel welcome and supported on campus. I want to be sure the events put on by our office, and the opportunities available on campus, are open to all and not closed off for students of any identity.
