Pardee Seminar on Energy and Environment in China

The Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future will hold a lunch seminar on ‘Energy and Environment: How is China Responding’ at the Pardee House (67 Bay State Road, Boston) on Friday, March 6, 2009.
The seminar will continue the discussion from the Pardee Center conference on China’s future held last December and will feature a main presentation by Dr. Joanna Lewis of Georgetown Univeristy followed by a commentary by Dr. Xiaowei Xuan from Harvard University.
The seminar will particularly focus on the longer-range implications of China’s response to energy and environment challenges – not only for China itself but for the region and the world as a whole.
The Pardee Seminar Series focuses on a variety of interdisciplinary issues and invites experts from different disciplines to discuss the long-range challenges and trends in that particular issue.
Lunch will be available from 11.30am, and the seminar itself will start at noon. Please RSVP to pardee@bu.edu by Thursday, March 5, 2009.
