2013 Pardee Graduate Summer Fellow Wins Fulbright-Hays Grant
2013 Pardee Graduate Summer Fellow Benjamin Twagira has won a research grant from the Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad program, administered by the U.S. Department of Education. Twagira, a PhD candidate in the Department of History at Boston University, conducts research on the history of cities in Africa. The award will fund his field research in Uganda where he will study the role of religious beliefs and tradition in the development of Kampala during the 20th century.
