Kevin Gallagher Presents at Financial Reform Conference in Brazil

Gallagher_95x125Pardee Center Faculty Fellow Kevin P. Gallagher presented a paper on September 26 at the Hyman Minsky conference on “Global Financial Reform: Five Years After the Crisis,” held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Prof. Gallagher’s talk was titled “Regulating Capital Flows: Is the ‘System’ Working?” and was based on two Pardee Task Force Reports on related topics published earlier this year and in March 2012. The conference was sponsored by the Brazil-based Multidisciplinary Institute for New Development Strategies (MINDS)  and the Levy Economics Institute of Bard College.

Prof. Gallagher is Co-Director of Boston University’s Global Economic Governance Initiative, a joint program of the Pardee Center, the Center for Finance, Law & Policy, and the Center for International Relations.  He also serves as a co-chair of the Pardee Task Force on Regulating Global Capital Flows, which coordinated development of the Pardee Task Force reports.
