Pardee Summer Fellow Authors GEGI Working Paper

DSC_0895Pardee Center 2013 Graduate Summer Fellow Bryan Patenaude is the author of the most recent Global Economic Governance Initiative (GEGI) Working Paper titled “Reinventing Development Banking in Frontier Economies: The Case for Romania.” The paper addresses the shortcomings of Romania in obtaining sufficient financial resources for domestic development following its accession into the European Union in 2007 and offers recommendations for improving development financing for the 2014-2020 period. The research focuses specifically on development finance through the lenses of funds absorption and development banking in Romania, building off of insight gained from the experiences of other EU case studies.

The Global Economic Governance Initiative is a joint project of the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future and the Center for Finance, Law & Policy designed to advance policy-relevant knowledge about economic governance for financial stability, human development, and the environment.
