GEGI Co-Directors Co-Author Article in The Washington Post

An article co-written by Global Economic Governance Initiative (GEGI) Co-Directors, Prof. Kevin Gallagher and Prof. Cornel Ban, was published on December 17 in The Washington Post.
In the article, titled “The IMF’s perestroika moment,“ the authors discuss the changes to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) since the economic crisis in 2008. This discussion is detailed further in a forthcoming special issue of the journal Governance. The authors argue that the IMF’s “commitment to a conservative view of economic development…is outdated.”
