BU Pardee Center Gets a “Communication Specialist”

Cynthia Barakatt joins the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future as the part-time “communication specialist.”

Cynthia brings a wealth of experience in communication and program development working in various research and outreach organizations. Most recently, she was the Director of Training and Fellowships for the Aldo Leopold Leadership Program at Stanford Univeristy. She holds a Masters Degree from the Yale Univeristy School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and a Bachelors in Journalism from the California Polytechnic State Univeristy.

Cynthia’s main responsibility at Boston Univeristy is to be the new Director of Content Development for the Encyclopedia of Earth (EoE). The EoE’s editorial offices are at Boston Univeristy. However, she will also devote part of her time as the new Communication Specialist at the Pardee Center and focus on disseminating information about the Pardee Center mission and research to relevant audiences.
