Prof. Najam Speaks on Sustainable Cities at MIT

Pardee Center Director, Prof. Adil Najam as one of the featured speakers at a conference on “Changing Cities” held to mark the 75th Anniversary of the MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning (DUSP).
Prof. Najam, who received a Ph.D. from DUSP spoke on a Panel on “Sustaining Cities: Environment, Economic Development, and Empowerment.” Focussing on the challenge of climate change and how that will impact cities in the future, and particularly the poorest communities within developing country mega-cities, Prof. Najam highlighted how he urban poor will face some of the most immediate impacts of global climate change.
